The program starts on January 10 (departure from the US on January 9) and returns on May 11, 2023. A group flight from Newark to Madrid is included in your program fee. The group flight  is as follows:

If you would like to request to opt out of the group flight (for example, because you are joining the group from another part of the US or an international destination) you must do so by September 1, 2022. 

The group flight is only available as a round trip ticket. While some changes to the dates might be available (at an additional cost), the departure cities are not modifiable. For this reason, if you are planning to travel after the program, you may wish to opt out of the group flight.  

Students who opt out of the group flight will receive a credit to their student billing account when bills are posted for the spring (usually in December) for the cost of their flight up to the cost of the group flight ($968). 

Students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the group flight both in the U.S. and in Madrid (details will follow later in the semester).
