Application Process

These programs are currently offered during the spring semester of the sophomore year.

The application cycle for the above programs typically opens in November of the student’s first year at Lafayette and closes on the March 1 deadline.

During the application cycle, students will click the “Apply Now” button near the top of this page and select the “Various” program cycle.  Applicants are then required to complete all of the application tasks by the application deadline. Within the application, students will be given the opportunity to rank their preferences for a given program and given semester. No guarantee can be made that each student will be offered their first-choice program but preferences are taken into consideration. Students should think carefully about which program they’d like to participate in and should speak to their academic adviser about good academic fit before completing the application.

Please note all students are subject to the eligibility requirements the College sets forth for students wishing to study abroad/off-campus for a semester. You can find information about eligibility here.

Once a student is offered placement on a program they will be required to confirm their commitment to the program by submitting a $500 non-refundable deposit. Further instructions on this step are provided by the Office of International & Off-Campus Education at the appropriate time.
